Ingredients for Kadala Curry Recipe

  • 1 cup Black chickpea
  • 1 Chopped Onion
  • 2 Potato
  • 2 Green chilli
  • 4-6 piece Garlic
  • As required Ginger
  • 7-8 Curry leaves
  • 2-3 No.s Whole red chillies
  • As required Mustard
  • 2 tablespoon Mustard oil
  • 1 cup Coconut water
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • 7-8 Black peppercorns
  • 1 tablespoon Tamarind pulp water
  • 1/2 tablespoon Cumin

    • STEP 1.Soak 1 cup black chickpea into water and leave it overnight.

    step 3

    • STEP 2.Add chickpea in boiled water and steam it for 20 mins.

    step 4

    • STEP 3.Then crush peppercorns and cumin seeds partially.

    • STEP 4.Prepare one bowl imli pulp water.

    • STEP 5.Prepare ginger garlic paste.

      • STEP 6.1.heat 2 tbsp oil,add mustard,curry leaves,whole red chilli.

      • STEP 7.2.add partially crushed black pepper and cumin seeds.

      • STEP 8.3.now add chopped onions and increase the flame and fry it until it appears golden brown.

      • STEP 9.4.now add cut pieces of potato and fry it for 5 mins.

      • STEP 10.5.now add ginger garlic paste and cook it on low flame for a minute.

      • STEP 11.6.add kashmiri red chilli powder, turmeric powder,tamarind water,coriander powder and little water.

      • STEP 12.7.then add black chickpea and mash it little,and chopped green chillies.

      • STEP 13.8.make it semi gravy,then add coconut milk and ghee for taste.
