Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak tamarind in warm water and extract the pulp.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and dried red chilies.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions and saut茅 until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and tamarind pulp.
  • STEP 5.Cook for a few minutes until the raw smell of tamarind disappears.
  • STEP 6.Add salt, jaggery, and water. Bring to a boil.
  • STEP 7.Simmer the curry for 10-15 minutes until it thickens.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or dosa.
