A delicious, spicy and flavourful pasta made out of spghetti with a combination of shrimps, veggies, chicken stock and some spices, Jollof Pasta is a recipe that is prepared by using jallof sauce which is usually made out of tomatoes, pepper puree, scotch bonnet, curry powder, thyme and vegetable sauce. This West Africal dish is loved by everyone and is the best option for a birthday party.

Ingredients for Jollof Pasta Recipe

  • 16 ounce Lolita Pasta
  • As required Vegetable Oil
  • As required Shrimps
  • 1 Nos Medium Onion chopped
  • 1 Nos Red Bell Pepper chopped
  • 5 Nos tomatoes chopped
  • As required Tomato paste
  • As required Carrot
  • As required Green Beans
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • As required Chicken Stock
  • As required Water
  • 1 Nos Maggi Cube
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme
  • As required Salt

Directions: Jollof Pasta Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Chop red bell peppers,green beans and carrot.

  • STEP 1.Add water in a pot and bring it to a boil. Add little oil followed by pasta and cook it for 5-6 minutes and drain off the water.

  • STEP 1.Now in a pot add oil & heat it. Add in shrimps,salt and fry for 3-4 minutes and take out the shrimps in a plate after 4 minutes.

  • STEP 1.Using the same oil add chopped onions and saute it. Add in thyme,tomato paste and cook it for 4-5 minutes then add some chopped tomatoes and cook for another minute.

  • STEP 1.Then add bay leaves, maggi cubes,garlic powder,ginger powder,black pepper,salt, chicken stock and cook it for 10 minutes with the lid on.

  • STEP 1.Stir it and add red bell peppers,green beans and carrot. Finally,add pasta and combine it well with the mixture cover and cook for 4 minutes at low flame.

  • STEP 1.Then add fried shrimps and mix thoroughly and then serve.
