  • 0.17 Box jumbo shells, cooked al dente
  • 0.67 Nos Large jalapeno peppers, finely diced
  • 1.33 ounce Cream cheese, softened
  • 0.17 cup Mozarella, grated
  • 0.17 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.83 Pieces Bacon strips cooked, crumbled or chopped
  • As required Salt pepper powder
  • 0.17 Cup Tomato sauce -
  • 0.08 Cup Sour cream
  • 1/25 Cup milk (full fat milk)
  • 0.08 Tsp Garlic powder -
  • 0.08 Tsp Onion powder

Directions: Jalapeno Popper Stuffed Shells Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Cook the pasta shells according to the package instructions until they are al dente. Drain and set them aside.
  • STEP 2.In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, chopped jalapeno peppers, crumbled bacon, salt & pepper and chopped cilantro.
  • STEP 3.Carefully stuff each cooked pasta shell with the jalapeno popper filling mixture. You can use a spoon to scoop the mixture into the shells.
  • STEP 4.In a separate bowl, whisk together the tomato sauce, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • STEP 5.Spread a small amount of the sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Arrange the stuffed shells in the dish. Pour the sauce mixture over the stuffed shells.
  • STEP 6.Cover the baking dish with aluminium foil and bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for about 25-30 minutes, or until the shells are heated through and the sauce is bubbly.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure the sauce is bubbly before you remove it from heat.
  • Best quality bacon gives the best quality dish.

Serving Tip

  • Remove the dish from the oven, and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve the dish, garnished with additional chopped cilantro or sliced jalapeno peppers for extra heat.
