Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Heat ghee in a pan and add the ground moong dal powder. Roast it on low heat until it turns golden brown and aromatic.
  • STEP 2.In a separate pan, heat water and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
  • STEP 3.Add the sugar syrup to the roasted moong dal powder and mix well. Cook on low heat until the mixture thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
  • STEP 4.Add cardamom powder and saffron strands for flavor. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • STEP 5.Remove from heat and garnish with chopped nuts. Serve warm or cold.
