Ingredients for Imli ki chatney Recipe

  • 41.67 gms Tamarid (imli)
  • As required Water
  • 41.67 gms Jaggary (as per your taste)
  • 0.17 nos tp Saunf
  • As required ½ tsp Ginger powder
  • 0.17 tsp - Chilli power ( I use half chilli powder and half kasmiri mirch)
  • As required Salt – as per your taste

Directions: Imli Ki Chatney Recipe

  • STEP 1.Soak tamarind in water overnight or 5-6 hrs in a pan or bowl.
  • STEP 2.After that squeeze the pulp from tamarind. Stain the pulp in another Pan/Bowl and keep aside.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil in pan and add the strained tamarind pulp cook for 5-6 minutes.
  • STEP 4.Add Jaggary,
  • STEP 5.Add Salt, Ginger powder and Red chili powder and cook for 4-5 min more.
  • STEP 6.The mixture would be thickened and transparent
  • STEP 7.Now Imli chutney is ready, Let imli chutney mixture cool.
  • STEP 8.When cooled serve, or store in a air tight container and you can keep it in refrigerator even for 1 month. Serve this imli chutney with chaat or snacks
