  • 1/2 cup Horse Gram, Soaked
  • 1/4 cup Chickpeas, Soaked
  • 1/2 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1 Green Chilies, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 inch Ginger, Grated
  • as per your need A Few Curry Leaves, Chopped
  • as required A Few Coriander Leaves, Chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Fennel Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak horse gram and chickpeas overnight.
  • STEP 2.Drain the water and grind them into a coarse paste.
  • STEP 3.Add onions, green chilies, ginger, curry leaves, coriander leaves, and spices to the paste.
  • STEP 4.Mix well and shape the mixture into small patties.
  • STEP 5.Deep fry the vadas until golden brown and crispy.
  • STEP 6.Serve hot with coconut chutney or tomato ketchup.

  • Make sure to soak the horse gram and chickpeas overnight to soften them.
  • You can adjust the spice level according to your preference.
