There are many versions of this old-fashioned casserole. Mine offers a little more zip due to the thyme and lemon peel. It’s a nice way to use up those turkey leftovers.

0.08 Garlic clove, minced
0.17 teaspoon Grated lemon zest
1/50 cup Butter, cubed
1/50 cup All purpose flour
0.17 cup Chicken Broth
0.08 cup Milk
0.08 Large egg yolk, lightly beaten
0.33 cup Cubed cooked turkey
As required Salt and pepper
0.03 cup Dry Bread Crumbs
0.03 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
1/25 cup Sliced almonds, toasted
