Ingredients for Hearty Idd;es fom Mumbai Recipe

  • 3/4 cups rice. Wash it several times and soak in water. Water should be cm above the grains.
  • 3/4 cup urad adal and methi dana soak in water. Water should be cam above the grains.
  • 2 nos Soaking time hours
  • 2 nos Grind together and allow to ferment for hours.
  • As required Shred one boiled de skinned beet root.

  • STEP 1.In the morning add one boiled de skiined shreded beet to the batter
  • STEP 2.add little salt
  • STEP 3.mix well
  • STEP 4.Put water in the steamer. Andd switch the gas on
  • STEP 5.When water is steaming grease themould with oil
  • STEP 6.Fill the moulds with batter and steam for 15 min
  • STEP 7.Remove , cool and demould and serve hot.
