This satisfying soup with a hint of cayenne is brimming with vegetables, chicken and noodles. The recipe is from my father-in-law, but I tweaked it to make it my own. Norma Reynolds, Overland Park, Kansas.
Ingredients for Hearty Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe
1 inch Fresh baby carrots, cut into 1/2 pieces
0.33 inch Celery ribs, cut into 1/2 pieces
0.06 cup Finely Chopped Onion
0.08 tablespoon Minced Fresh Parsley
1/25 teaspoon Pepper
1/50 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
0.13 teaspoon Mustard Seed
0.17 Garlic cloves, peeled and halved
1/10 pound Boneless skinless chicken breast halves
1/10 pound Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs
0.33 can Chicken Broth
0.08 Package refrigerated linguine
As required Optional: coarsely ground pepper and additional minced fresh parsley
