  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 1 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 2 tablespoon Tamarind Pulp
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • as required Fresh Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, asafoetida, and chopped onions. Saute until onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 2.Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Cook for a minute.
  • STEP 3.Add cluster beans, tamarind pulp, salt, and water. Cover and cook until the beans are tender.
  • STEP 4.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.

Cooking Tips

  • To reduce the bitterness of cluster beans, you can blanch them in boiling water before cooking.
  • You can adjust the spice level according to your preference by adding more or less red chili powder.
  • Adding a pinch of sugar can help balance the tanginess of the tamarind pulp.
