  • 1/2 cup Water
  • As required Salt To Taste

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak basmati rice for 30 minutes. Drain the water and keep aside.
  • STEP 2.Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds, cloves, cinnamon, and bay leaf. Saute for a minute.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions and cook until they turn golden brown. Then, add ginger-garlic paste and saute for a minute.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped vegetables like carrots, peas, and beans. Cook for a few minutes until they are slightly tender.
  • STEP 5.Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
  • STEP 6.Add soaked rice and saute for a minute. Then, add water and salt. Mix well and cover the pan.
  • STEP 7.Cook on low heat until the rice is cooked and all the water is absorbed. Fluff the rice with a fork.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and roasted nuts. Serve hot with yogurt or raita.
