Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak the lentils in water for 4-5 hours.
  • STEP 2.Drain the water and grind the lentils along with spinach, ginger, green chilies, and salt to make a smooth batter.
  • STEP 3.Transfer the batter to a bowl and add chopped onions, coriander leaves, and cumin seeds. Mix well.
  • STEP 4.Heat a griddle or non-stick pan and grease it with oil.
  • STEP 5.Pour a ladleful of batter onto the griddle and spread it in a circular motion to form a thin pancake.
  • STEP 6.Cook on medium heat until the edges turn golden brown.
  • STEP 7.Flip the chilla and cook the other side until it becomes crispy.
  • STEP 8.Remove from heat and serve hot with chutney or yogurt.
