  • 2 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 2 tablespoon Oil

  • STEP 1.Wash and dry the green chillies. Slit them lengthwise, leaving the stems intact.
  • STEP 2.In a mixing bowl, combine the slit chillies with salt, turmeric powder, fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, and asafoetida.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil in a pan and add the tempering ingredients like mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, and asafoetida. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 4.Pour the tempering over the chillies and mix well. Add lemon juice and mix again.
  • STEP 5.Transfer the pickle to a clean, dry glass jar and let it sit for a day to allow the flavors to develop.
  • STEP 6.Store the pickle in a cool, dark place. It can be consumed immediately but tastes better after a few days of maturing.
  • STEP 7.Serve the green chilli pickle as a condiment with rice, roti, or any Indian meal.
