  • 1/2 cup Gram Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and slit the green chillies lengthwise, removing the seeds if desired.
  • STEP 2.In a bowl, mix gram flour, rice flour, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, and water to make a thick batter.
  • STEP 3.Dip the green chillies in the batter, ensuring they are well coated.
  • STEP 4.Heat oil in a deep pan and carefully drop the coated chillies into the hot oil.
  • STEP 5.Fry until the pakoras turn golden brown and crispy.
  • STEP 6.Remove from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  • STEP 7.Serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup.

Cooking Tips

  • If you prefer less spiciness, remove the seeds from the green chillies before making the pakoras.
  • Make sure the batter is thick enough to coat the chillies well, but not too runny.
  • Use a slotted spoon to remove the pakoras from the oil to drain excess oil.
