This goulash is a little creamier than a typical czech goulash would be-it's more along the lines of a hungarian goulash. But that's ok-it tastes great.
Ingredients for Goulash With Bacon Dumplings Recipe
1 pound Cubed beef
As required Flour
As required Salt and pepper
As required Olive oil
1/4 Medium-sized sweet onion, diced
0.13 teaspoon Caraway Seed
1 Tb sweet paprika
0.06 teaspoon Ground black pepper
4 Tb tomato paste
1.25 cup Pilsner beer
1/2 Beef bouillon cube or condensed beef stock
2 Cloves garlic, minced
0.06 teaspoon Marjoram
As required Raw onion slices
As required Raw sweet and/or chili peppers
5-6 Slices of regular white bread, crusts removed and cut into cubes. allow to sit overnight to get stale
1/2 Tb unsalted butter
1/4 Sweet onion, finely diced
2 Tb finely chopped parsley
1.50 Strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
0.38 cup All-purpose flour
As required Salt and pepper
