Gongura or sorrel leaves are good source of carbohydrates, fiber and protein. They are excellent source of vitamins a, b1, b2, b9 and c. It is rich in essential minerals like calcium, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium and iron. It very popular and commonly used in southern and western part of india. Basically these leave are used to make yummy and delicious pickle. But they are also used in non vegetarian delicacy too. In jai ki rasoi se it is used made "gongura chicken".
