  • STEP 1.Wash the flattened rice flakes (avalakki) in water and drain well.
  • STEP 2.In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and dried red chilies.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions and saut茅 until they turn translucent.
  • STEP 4.Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • STEP 5.Add tamarind pulp and jaggery. Cook for a few minutes until the raw smell of tamarind disappears.
