It is a popular sweets prepared during festivals like Diwali, Holi, Raksha Bandhan and many more other Indian festivals. They are different shapes and sizes, hence the way of preparations are also different. However, one thing is common in all types of goja i.e. each of them has layers in it. You know those fairs are incomplete with the presence of jalebi, omriti, Bonde or Sweet Boondi and Goja.

Ingredients for Goja Recipe

  • As required Filling
  • 1 No.s Coconut grated
  • 1 piece small Ginger
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla essence
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • As required Raisins
  • 1 pinch Red Food coloring
  • As required Casing Dough
  • 3 cup all purpose Flour
  • 1/4 can evaporated milk
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Yeast

Directions: Goja Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Add grated coconut and ginger in a bowl and add vanilla essence, food colouring, sugar and raisins to it. Combine it well.

step 2

  • STEP 1.In a bowl mix flour, baking powder, yeast and margarine. mix them together and gradually add water to make a soft dough.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Take small dough balls and flatten them with your hands into small discs. Place the filling in the center and seal the goja from the corners.

step 4

  • STEP 1.Heat some oil in a pan and fry goja's until until they turn golden brown from all sides. The recipe is ready.
