Ingredients for Ghuiya Recipe

  • 0-0.33 kg guiya(colocasia / taro root)(peeled
  • As required washed and chopped )
  • 0-3.67 nos garlic cloves(peeled)
  • 0-1.67 nos green chilli sliced
  • 0-0.33 nos Tomato(chopped)(large)
  • 0-0.33 tsp turmeric powder
  • 0-0.33 tsp red chilli powder
  • 0-0.33 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 0-0.33 tbsp coriander seeds
  • 0-0.11 tsp Black pepper(whole)
  • 0-0.33 tsp mustard seeds
  • As required salt to taste
  • 0-0.33 tsp Lemon juice
  • 0-1.33 tbsp cooking oil

Directions: Ghuiya Recipe

  • STEP 1.HEAT 4 TBSP OIL IN A PAN.
  • STEP 2.ADD ARBI CUT INTO ROUNDALS. FRY IT TILL GOLDEN AND TAKE OUT.
  • STEP 3.CUMIN SEEDS-1 TSP CORIANDER SEEDS-1 TBSP BLACK PEPPER-1/3 TSP MUSTARD SEEDS-1 TSP GARLIC CLOVES(PEELED)-5-6 GRIND ALL THESE INTO A FINM PASTE WITH LITTLE WATER
  • STEP 4.ADD GARLIC PASTE IN LEFTOVER OIL AND COOK .
  • STEP 5.ADD 1 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER, 1 TSP TURMERIC POWDER, SALT TO TASTE AND 1/2 TSP GARAM MASALA
  • STEP 6.MIX IT WELL
  • STEP 7.COVER IT AND COOK FOR 2-3 MINUTES, ADD 2-3 TBSP WATER, TO AVOID STICKING TO THE BOTTOM.
  • STEP 8.WHEN THE OIL SEPARATES ADD 1 CHOPPED TOMATO AND 2 GREEN CHILLI CUT INTO HALF.
  • STEP 9.COVER IT AND LET IT COOK FOR 2-3 MINUTES, TILL THE OIL SEPARATES.
  • STEP 10.WHEN THE OIL SEPARATES ADD 1 CUP OF WATER
  • STEP 11.WHEN WATER START BOILING ADD FRIED ARBI AND MIX WELL
  • STEP 12.COVER THE LID AND COOK FOR 5-6 MINUTES
  • STEP 13.SPRINKLE 1 SLICED ONION AND MIX WELL
  • STEP 14.COVER FOR 1 MORE MINUTE
  • STEP 15.CHECK, IF IT IS COOKED , OFF THE FLAME.
  • STEP 16.ADD 1 TSP LEMON JUICE AND MIX WELL
  • STEP 17.SPRINKLE 1 TSP FENUGREEK LEAVES
  • STEP 18.SERVE HOT WITH CHAPATI OR RICE
