  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds

  • 2.25 Lic Cloves, Chopped
  • 1/2 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1 Dried Red Chilies
  • 4.50 Y Leaves
  • pinch A Pinch Of Asafoetida
  • as required Fresh Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, whisk together yogurt, gram flour, and water until smooth.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and fenugreek seeds. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped garlic and onions to the pan and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Pour the yogurt mixture into the pan and stir well. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  • STEP 5.Cook the kadhi on low heat for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • STEP 6.In a separate small pan, heat ghee and add dried red chilies, curry leaves, and asafoetida. Pour this tempering over the kadhi.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or roti.

  • Make sure to whisk the yogurt and gram flour mixture well to avoid lumps.
  • Sauté the garlic and onions until they are nicely caramelized for added flavor.
  • Adjust the consistency of the kadhi by adding more water if needed.
