This garlic fried rice is inspired by my mom's cooking that i ate a million times. As long as you have leftover rice, it's super quick to make but really flavorful with garlic & butter with soy sauce. It's vegan, comforting, and a heart-warming dish that brings me back to my childhood*the recipe requires day-old leftover rice.

  • 1/4 tablespoon Neutral oil

  • 1.50 Garlic cloves thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup Diced yellow onion

  • 1.50 Shiitake mushrooms trim off the very end of the stem and thinly sliced
  • 1.50 cup Day old cold leftover short grain rice separate the grains
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

  • 0.13 teaspoon White pepper
