Ingredients for Gajar Ka Halwa Recipe

  • 1 kilogram Carrot
  • 1/4 cup ghee / clarified butter
  • 10 ns chopped cashew
  • 10 No.s chopped almonds
  • 3 cup Milk
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup khoya / mawa
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

step 1

  • STEP 1. peel and finely grate the carrots.

step 2

  • STEP 1. in a pan heat some ghee and roast almonds and cashews in it until they turn golden brown.

step 3

  • STEP 1.take out the cashews and almonds and saute the grated carrots for 5 minutes.

step 4

  • STEP 1. to this add milk and boil it for 10 minutes by stirring continuously.

step 5

  • STEP 1.once the milk gets thickened add sugar and mix well until the sugar dissolves completely.

step 6

  • STEP 1.5 once the ghee starts getting separated turn off the gas and add khoya to it.

step 7

  • STEP 1. finally add cardamom and fried dry fruits to it and your gajar ka halwa is ready to be served
