  • 1/4 cup Rice
  • 0.06 cup Urad Dal
  • 0.13 cup Fresh Curd
  • As required Salt To Taste

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, soak rice and urad dal separately for 4-5 hours.
  • STEP 2.Grind the soaked rice and urad dal together to make a smooth batter.
  • STEP 3.Add fresh curd to the batter and mix well. Allow the batter to ferment overnight.
  • STEP 4.Heat a tawa or griddle and pour a ladleful of batter on it. Spread it in a circular motion to make a thin dosa.
  • STEP 5.Drizzle some oil around the edges and cook until the dosa turns golden brown.
  • STEP 6.Flip the dosa and cook for a minute on the other side.
  • STEP 7.Serve the fresh curd dosa hot with coconut chutney or sambar.

  • Make sure to soak the rice and urad dal separately to get the right consistency of the batter.
  • Fermenting the batter overnight enhances the taste and texture of the dosa.
