Ingredients for Food Horse Gram Chutney/Kollu Chutney Recipe

  • 50 gram horse gram
  • 6 Nos small onions
  • 6 Nos garlic cloves
  • As required Some coriander leaves
  • 1 Nos tomato
  • 2 tablespoon mustard oil
  • 2 Nos dry red chilli
  • 1 teaspoon urad dal
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander seeds
  • As required Salt

  • STEP 1.Wash horse gram 2 times

step 2

  • STEP 2.Soak in warm water for 30 mins

step 3

  • STEP 3.Cook the horse gram in pressure cooker along with it

step 4

  • STEP 4.S soaked water for 5 whistles

step 5

  • STEP 5.Slice onion and garlic cloves

step 6

  • STEP 6.Chop tomato & fresh coriander leaves

  • STEP 7.1.add mustard oil in a kadai & heat it

step 10

  • STEP 8.2.add chopped dry red chillies

step 11

  • STEP 9.3.add urad dal,cumin seeds,black pepper and coriander seeds

step 12

  • STEP 10.4.saute it for a few seconds and then add sliced onions

step 13

  • STEP 11.5.add salt and mix

step 14

  • STEP 12.6.now add chopped tomatoes,fry a bit and add chopped coriander leaves

  • STEP 13.7.cool down the fried mixture and grind it along the horse gram seeds.
