Ingredients for Fish Soup Recipe

  • 0.34 cup Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 Large leeks, sliced
  • 2 Ribs celery, cut in thirds
  • 2 Large cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1/2 bunch Flat Leaf Parsley
  • 1/2 bunch Cilantro
  • 1/2 Red bell pepper, seeded and cut into chunks
  • 1/2 Head and 1 tail of a large salmon or any other large kosher fish, loosely but securely wrapped in cheesecloth
  • 2 cup Canned Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1/4 inch 2 large potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup Dry white wine
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper, or more to taste
  • pinch Pinch ground cloves
  • 1.50 Bay leaves
  • 1/2 tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 pinch Saffron
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 5 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Anisette or arack
  • 1.50 pound Boneless, skinless kosher fish such as salmon, tile, or snapper cut into 1 inch cubes
  • As required Freshly Ground Black Pepper To Taste
  • As required Fresh fennel leaves to garnish
