  • 1 As required pomfret fish ( may use any fish)
  • 1 As required onion/ tomato/ garlic/ dried chillies/cooking oil/
  • 1 As required fenugreek seeds/jeera / tamarind/ half lemon/ coriander leaves

Directions: Fish Seebian Burmese Style/ Authentic Burmese Fish Seebiyan Recipe Recipe

  • STEP 1.Take the pomfret fish 1/2 kg ( you can use any fish)
  • STEP 2.Soaked the red chillies and jeera in half glass of water for 10 mins
  • STEP 3.Heat the vessel and add 5 sp of cooking oil Add a sp of fenugreek seeds then fry it until the aroma comes Add a handful of curry leaves
  • STEP 4.Then add chopped 1/2 onion and it well Then grind the 1 and 1/2 onion and 2 tomatoes seperately then add on it
  • STEP 5.Sauté it for5 mins then add the grinded paste of soaked chillies and jeera and sauté it well for 5 mins until the oil separates from the gravy
  • STEP 6.Then minced the 2 cloves of garlic and add into the masala again sauté it well
  • STEP 7.Add some salt to taste and add 4 sp of thick tamarind juice and let it boil for 5 mins
  • STEP 8.Then add the pomfret fish and boil it for 2 mins in medium flame
  • STEP 9.Then squeeze the half lemon and garnish with fresh coriander leaves
  • STEP 10.Then serve with rice , idly, dosa, chapattis naan, roti
