  • 0.13 cup Lentils
  • 50 gram Fish Pieces
  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/4 Onion, Chopped
  • 1/4 cup Tomato Puree
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon Chopped Coriander Leaves

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak lentils for 30 minutes. Pressure cook until soft.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, ginger-garlic paste, and chopped onions. Saute until onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Cook until the oil separates.
  • STEP 4.Add the cooked lentils and fish pieces. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  • STEP 5.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.

Cooking Tips

  • You can use any fish of your choice, such as Rohu, Katla, or Hilsa.
  • Adding a squeeze of lemon juice enhances the flavor of the dish.
  • If you prefer a thicker consistency, you can mash some lentils before adding the fish.
