Directions: Fig Balsamic Pork Tenderloin Sliders Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a small bowl, whisk together fig preserves, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper to make the glaze.
  • STEP 2.Place the pork tenderloin in a resealable bag and pour the glaze over it. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  • STEP 3.Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the pork tenderloin from the marinade and discard the excess glaze.
  • STEP 4.Grill the pork tenderloin for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F. Remove from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  • STEP 5.While the pork is resting, heat a skillet over medium heat and add the sliced onions. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are caramelized and golden brown, about 10-15 minutes.
  • STEP 6.Slice the pork tenderloin into thin slices. Assemble the sliders by placing a few slices of pork on each bun, and topping with caramelized onions. Serve immediately.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to let the pork tenderloin rest after grilling to allow the juices to redistribute and keep the meat tender.
  • If you don't have a grill, you can also cook the pork tenderloin in the oven at 400°F for about 20-25 minutes.
  • Feel free to add additional toppings to the sliders, such as arugula, goat cheese, or a drizzle of extra fig balsamic glaze.

Storage and Serving

  • These sliders are best served immediately while the pork is still warm and juicy.
  • If you have leftovers, store the pork and onions separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, gently warm the pork in the microwave or oven, and reheat the onions in a skillet over medium heat.
