There are combinations that are perfect. For example, bread with butter or arepas with butter, tomato and basil, and rice with beans are wonderful combinations. One of these perfect pairs is the marriage of figs and arequipe (dulce de leche). This is a delicious colombian dessert that can be prepared in the blink of an eye and is enjoyed by kids and adults. After eating all the figs i could manage, i decided to make crescent rolls with figs and arequipe. The perfect recipe as a snack or dessert.
