As required For gulab jamun
0.33 cup homemade Mawa
0.17 tablespoon (ghee
As required ½ cup milk
As required ¾ cup milk powder)
As required Arrowroot (tavkhir) ¾ teaspoon
As required Baking powder ½ teaspoon
0.33 teaspoon Elaichi(cardamom) powder
As required ghee for roasting
As required Syrup
0.92 cup Water
0.33 cup Sugar
3.67 tablespoon Saffron few strands soaked in lukewarm water for minutes
0.33 tablespoon Slices of almonds and pistachio for garnishing
Directions: Farali Gulab Jamun In Apple Patra Recipe
STEP 1.For Gulab jamun
STEP 2.Make homemade mawa. Let it cool down completely.
STEP 3.Add elaichi powder, baking powder and arrowroot.
STEP 4.Knead the dough to make it smooth for 2 to 3 minutes.
STEP 5.Grease your hands with ghee and make balls without cracks.
STEP 6.Preheat Appe Patra for a minute on medium flame.
STEP 7.Brush ghee in 4 to 5 cavities.
STEP 8.Add gulab jamun in each of them.
STEP 9.Brush the jamun with ghee.
STEP 10.Cover with lid for minute.
STEP 11.Jamun are very soft and delicate so handle with care.
STEP 12.Go on brushing jamun with ghee. Using spoon cook jamun on all sides.
STEP 13.So that you get golden brown color on all sides.
STEP 14.Cook on medium to slow flame so that they cook well from inside.
STEP 15.Similarly cook other gulab jamum too.
STEP 16.Syrup
STEP 17.In a pan add sugar and water. Put on medium flame.
STEP 18.Once it starts boiling add saffron water. Let it boil till syrup becomes sticky.
STEP 19.Let it cool down till it becomes lukewarm.
STEP 20.Add gulab jamun to the syrup.
STEP 21.Use it after an hour so that jamun absorb the juices.
STEP 22.Garnish with slices of almonds and pistachio
STEP 23.Aromatic and juicy Gulab Jamun are ready.
