Ingredients for Espinacas Con Garbanzos Recipe

  • 2 tablespoon extra virgin Spanish olive oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried cumin
  • 1/2 cup Tomato Puree
  • 2 cup tightly packed bagged spinach
  • 1 cup jarred chickpeas
  • As required sea salt
  • As required Black pepper

step 1

  • STEP 1.Rinse one cup of jarred chickpeas beneath cold running water, shake off any excess water and put aside, reserve two cups of tightly packed bagged spinach, reserve 1/2 cup of canned tomato puree, thinly slice four cloves of garlic and finely dice 1/2 of an onion

step 2

  • STEP 2.Heat a medium sized non-stick pan with a medium heat and add two tablespoons of additional virgin spanish oil, two minutes once adding the oil add the sliced garlic and diced onions and blend with the oil, regarding four minutes later and therefore the onions and garlic have developed a lightweight golden color season with a generous 1/4 teaspoon of cumin, a generous 1/4 teaspoon of smoke-dried paprika and blend everything along, then add the 1/2 cup of tomato puree, oceanson with sea salt, freshly cracked black pepper and a pinch of white sugar and blend everything along, regarding two minutes later add the two cups of tightly packed bagged spinach, place a lid on the pan and lower the fireplace to a coffee heat

  • STEP 3.Two minutes once adding the lid to the pan take away it, then add the one cup of chickpeas, oceanson once more with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper and blend everything along till well combined, cook for approximately four minutes and then transfer the mixture into a shallow bowl.
