Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Pressure cook the lentils and vegetables until they are soft.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and onions. Saute until onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add the cooked lentils and vegetables to the pan.
  • STEP 4.Prepare a paste by grinding together coconut, cumin seeds, and green chilies.
  • STEP 5.Add the prepared paste, salt, and water to the pan. Cook until the gravy thickens.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with coconut and serve hot with rice or roti.

  • Use a combination of vegetables like pumpkin, beans, and raw banana for a delicious erisheri.
