  • 1/4 cup Lentils
  • 1 cup Mixed Vegetables
  • 1/2 cup Grated Coconut
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1.25 En Chilies
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • as required A Few Curry Leaves
  • 1 Dried Red Chilies
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • as needed Fresh Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak the lentils in water for 30 minutes and then cook them until tender.
  • STEP 2.In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and dried red chilies.
  • STEP 3.Add the chopped vegetables and sauté for a few minutes.
  • STEP 4.In a blender, grind coconut, cumin seeds, and green chilies to a smooth paste.
  • STEP 5.Add the coconut paste to the pan and mix well with the vegetables.
  • STEP 6.Add the cooked lentils, salt, and turmeric powder to the pan and mix well.
  • STEP 7.Simmer the eriseri for a few minutes until the flavors are well combined.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.

  • You can use a variety of vegetables like pumpkin, yam, raw banana, and beans for eriseri.
  • Make sure to cook the lentils until they are soft and tender before adding them to the dish.
