  • 1 Onions, Finely Chopped
  • 1 Tomatoes, Finely Chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds
  • as needed A Few Curry Leaves
  • as needed Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak the dried prawns in water for about 30 minutes to soften them.
  • STEP 2.In a pan, heat oil and sauté onions until golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until fragrant.
  • STEP 4.Add tomatoes, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  • STEP 5.Drain the soaked prawns and add them to the pan. Cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 6.In a separate pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, and curry leaves. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 7.Add this tempering to the prawn mixture and cook for a few more minutes.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or bread.

Cooking Tips

  • Soaking the dried prawns helps to soften them and remove any excess salt.
  • Adjust the spice level according to your preference by adding more or less red chili powder.
