Ingredients for Dondurma Recipe

  • 4 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salep
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla powder

Directions: Dondurma Recipe

  • STEP 1.Combine salep, sugar and vanilla powder in a bowl.

  • STEP 2.Boil the milk a little and add the salep mixture gradually.

  • STEP 3.Make sure that no lumps are left.

  • STEP 4.It reaches the pudding consistency as it is cooked.

  • STEP 5.Keep the heat to the lowest for 30-40 minutes.

  • STEP 6.Let it cool.

  • STEP 7.Pour it to a bowl and put in the freezer .

  • STEP 8.Leave it for 30 minutes.

  • STEP 9.Take it out and whisk constantly with a fork for 2-3 minutes.

  • STEP 10.Scrape the ice crystals you see around the top of the container.

  • STEP 11.Put it back into the freezer.

  • STEP 12.Repeat this 4-5 times in every 30 minutes.

  • STEP 13.You will see how it stretches when whisking.

step 14

  • STEP 14.Transfer the mixture in an airtight container and freeze for 5 hours.
