  • 1/10 cup Grated Coconut
  • 1/2 En Chilies
  • 1/5 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/5 cup Yogurt
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • as needed For Tempering
  • 1/5 teaspoon Oil
  • 1/10 teaspoon Mustard Seeds

  • STEP 1.Wash the doddapatre leaves thoroughly and chop them finely.
  • STEP 2.In a blender, grind the leaves along with grated coconut, green chilies, cumin seeds, and a little water to make a smooth paste.
  • STEP 3.Transfer the paste to a bowl and add yogurt, salt, and a tempering of mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  • STEP 4.Mix well and serve the tambli as a side dish with hot steamed rice or as a dip with dosas or idlis.
  • STEP 5.Store any leftover tambli in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
