Ingredients for Dhokla Recipe

  • 0.33 cup suji/ semolina
  • 0.33 cup thick curd
  • 0.11 cup Water rd
  • 0.33 tsp Salt
  • 0.17 tsp Ginger paste
  • 0.33 nos Green chilli chopped
  • 0.33 tsp eno salt
  • 1 tsp Oil+
  • 0.17 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 0.17 tsp mustard seeds
  • 0.17 tsp sesame seeds
  • 0-0.67 nos Curry leaves
  • 0.67 nos Green chilli slit

Directions: Dhokla Recipe

  • STEP 1.Mix suji, curd, water, 1 tsp oil, salt, ginger paste and green chilli in a bowl.
  • STEP 2.Heat water in a cooker for steaming. It should fill the vessel only 1 inch from base.
  • STEP 3.Grease a 2 inch deep container with oil and keep in the cooker. Easy to pour batter into it; instead of placing it in.
  • STEP 4.Add eno salt to the batter and quickly mix. Bubbles will appear. Wait for a few seconds. Now pour it into the container for steaming.
  • STEP 5.Close the lid and remove the whistle of the cooker. Steam on high flame for 2 minutes and then on medium flame for 12 minutes.
  • STEP 6.Remove and keep aside. Heat oil for vaghaar, add mustard seeds, next cumin , sesame seeds, curry leaves and slit chillies.
  • STEP 7.Pour the vaghaar over the dhokla. Cool a little before cutting into pieces.
  • STEP 8.Tastes great with or without chutney.
