Desi Murgh curry, as the name indicates, is a desi Indian style chicken curry made with spice mix by stewing the ingredients. The fragrant chicken curry can be accompanied with plain basmatu rice /naan for best flavor.
STEP 1.Heat mustard oil in a kadhai and fry potatoes slightly.
STEP 2.Fry the chicken pieces one by one till half done (don't fry it completely). Keep it aside.
STEP 3.In the same oil, sautee onions and whole garlic cloves till they turn brown.
STEP 4.Add meat masala, turmeric, red chilli powder, and a little salt.
STEP 5.Add the tomato puree
STEP 6.Pour a dash of water, and continue to fry the masala till the oil starts rising.
STEP 7.Add the fried chicken to the masala and potatoes
STEP 8.Fry for 2 minutes and then add water.
STEP 9.Cover the lid and cook.
STEP 10.Do not overcook.
STEP 11.Serve hot with plain basmati Rice / Roti/Naan
