Desi Murgh curry, as the name indicates, is a desi Indian style chicken curry made with spice mix by stewing the ingredients. The fragrant chicken curry can be accompanied with plain basmatu rice /naan for best flavor.

Ingredients for Desi Murgh Curry #ChickenRecipes #FEM5K Recipe

  • 125 gm Chicken
  • 1.50 A Few Onion
  • 1/4 g whole garlic
  • 1/4 g whole ginger
  • 1/4 A Handful Tomato
  • 1/2 cups Mustard oil
  • 0.19 tsp Meat masala
  • 0.06 tsp Turmeric
  • to taste Red chilli powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 3/4 A Few Potato

  • STEP 1.Heat mustard oil in a kadhai and fry potatoes slightly.
  • STEP 2.Fry the chicken pieces one by one till half done (don't fry it completely). Keep it aside.
  • STEP 3.In the same oil, sautee onions and whole garlic cloves till they turn brown.
  • STEP 4.Add meat masala, turmeric, red chilli powder, and a little salt.
  • STEP 5.Add the tomato puree
  • STEP 6.Pour a dash of water, and continue to fry the masala till the oil starts rising.
  • STEP 7.Add the fried chicken to the masala and potatoes
  • STEP 8.Fry for 2 minutes and then add water.
  • STEP 9.Cover the lid and cook.
  • STEP 10.Do not overcook.
  • STEP 11.Serve hot with plain basmati Rice / Roti/Naan
