Ingredients for Delhi Dahi Papadi Chaat Recipe

  • 7 nos ▢ Puri flat crisp papdi
  • 1/2 nos ▢ Potato medium
  • As required Boiled
  • As required peeled and chopped/mashed
  • As required mixed with salt and chili powder to taste
  • 2 nos ▢ tablespoon Black Chickpeas (Kala Chana) pre-boiled (optional) or sprouted moong beans
  • As required ▢½ teaspoon chaat masala
  • As required ▢½ cup Yogurt (Dahi) chilled
  • 1.50 nos ▢ tablespoon Red Garlic Chutney optional
  • 1.50 nos ▢ tablespoon Mint Cilantro Chutney
  • As required ▢¼ cup Tamarind Chutney
  • As required ▢½ cup Nylon sev thin
  • 1 nos ▢ tablespoon Cilantro leaves chopped
  • 1 nos ▢ tablespoon Pomegranate seeds optional

Directions: Delhi Dahi Papadi Chaat Recipe

  • STEP 1.Keep all the ingredients ready before starting to make dahi papdi chaat. Have boiled potatoes and black chickpeas. Also keep all three chutneys, sev and chaat masala on the counter.
  • STEP 2.Place 7 puri's spread out on a plate. Crumble some puri's oven them.
  • STEP 3.Crumble some boiled potato on each of the puri.
  • STEP 4.Spread some boiled black chickpeas over the puris. You can also use sprouted moong dal in place of black chickpeas.
  • STEP 5.Spread ¼ cup of dahi on the puris.
  • STEP 6.Spread 1 tablespoon of red garlic chutney and green mint cilantro chutney.
  • STEP 7.Spread a couple of teaspoons of tamarind chutney on each puri.
  • STEP 8.Sprinkle a quarter teaspoon chaat masala on top.
  • STEP 9.Then spread sev on the puri's.
  • STEP 10.Then garnish with cilantro leaves and pomegranate seeds.
  • STEP 11.Serve dahi papdi chaat immediately. Make another serving following the same steps.
  • STEP 12.Homemade chutneys add fresh flavors than store-bought ones. You can make them beforehand and store them in the refrigerator.
  • STEP 13.Make sure you have all the ingredients ready before starting to assemble the sev puri as the chutneys can turn the puri soggy.
  • STEP 14.Consume the prepared papdi chaat immediately to enjoy all the flavors of this mouthwatering dish.
