Dalichi Amti Recipe

Recipe By Slurrp

Dalichi Amti is a traditional Maharashtrian lentil curry made with toor dal (split pigeon peas) and a flavorful spice blend. This tangy and slightly sweet curry is a popular accompaniment to rice or roti. The dal is cooked until soft and then tempered with mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, and spices like turmeric and red chili powder. Tamarind pulp and jaggery are added to give it a unique sweet and sour taste. It is garnished with fresh coriander leaves and served hot.
