  • STEP 1.Wash and soak the lentils in water for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.In a pressure cooker, add the soaked lentils, water, turmeric powder, salt, and chopped onions.
  • STEP 3.Pressure cook the lentils for 3-4 whistles or until they are soft and cooked.
  • STEP 4.Once the lentils are cooked, let the pressure release naturally.
  • STEP 5.Using a blender, blend the cooked lentils to a smooth consistency.
  • STEP 6.Transfer the blended lentils back to the pressure cooker and add more water if needed.
  • STEP 7.Bring the soup to a boil and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  • STEP 8.Adjust the consistency by adding more water if desired.
  • STEP 9.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
