STEP 1.First wash both daals well & soak for 4- 5 hours . Now drain it & take it in a grinder. Add pinch of asafoetida to it & grind it to make a smooth paste. Now take this paste in a big bowl & beat it with hands till it becomes fluffy . Now heat oil in a wok & drop the batter to make vadas . Fry vadas till golden brown. Take hot water in a bowl, add salt & asafoetida to it . Soak vadas into it . After sometime squeeze vadas gently . Take beaten curd in a bowl . Add vadas to it & let them soak for sometime . Now take out vadas in a serving plate . Sprinkle all spices , green chutney & tamarind chutney to it . Soft dahi vadas are ready to serve .
