  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 cup Fenugreek Leaves, Chopped
  • 1 Tomatoes, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • as required Fresh Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Marinate the fish with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated fish until golden brown. Set aside.
  • STEP 3.In the same pan, add cumin seeds, onions, and cook until onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add ginger-garlic paste, fenugreek leaves, and cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 5.Add tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  • STEP 6.Add the fried fish and yogurt to the pan. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or naan bread.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to marinate the fish for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.
  • Frying the fish before adding it to the gravy helps to retain its texture and prevent it from breaking apart.
