Presenting a chicken curry which is spicy yet bit tangy which is an absolute summer treat as it contains CURD along with other basic ingredients.
A Chatpata and spicy DAHI CHICKEN curry to enjoy summer.
STEP 1.Marinade Chicken with 3 tbsp Curd + red chilli powder + salt and marinade for 40 - 50 minutes.
STEP 2.Assemble all ingredients

STEP 4.In a mixing bowl add 1/4 cup curd, add coriander powder + Kashmiri red chilli powder + turmeric powder + salt + Sugar and mix well. Keep aside.
STEP 5.Make smooth paste of tomato + green chilli and keep aside.
STEP 6.Marinade potato with little salt + turmeric and marinade for 5-7 minutes.
In pan add 1 tbsp mustard oil, add marinade potato and fry till golden yellow / brown and keep aside. It takes around 4-5 minutes.
STEP 7.In same pan add oil, add all whole spices and allow to crackle, then add chia onion and sauté till translucent then add ginger + garlic and sauté till rawness goes off and onion turns brownish.
STEP 8.Then add marinaded chicken and sauté under medium flame, chicken starts leaving water, cover and cook for 7-8 minutes. Gradually water dries up.
STEP 9.cook for few minutes more
STEP 10.Add tomato paste, mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes.
STEP 11.Add curd mixture, mix well and cook under high flame for 2-3 minutes.
STEP 12.Add fried potato at this stage and Garam masala also, cook for 3-4 minutes.
STEP 13.Add garam masala also and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
STEP 14.Add chicken stock / warm water, stir well and cook under medium flame for 3-4 minutes.
STEP 15.Add chopped Coriander leaves, stir well, simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes. Check for salt.
