Ingredients for Daal makhni Recipe

  • 1/5 cup black urad dal
  • 1/20 cup Chana dal
  • 1/10 cup rajma
  • 1/5 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 0-1/5 nos chopped Green Chilli
  • 0.60 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/5 tsp cumin- coriander powder
  • 1/5 tsp cardamom power
  • 0.40 nos chopped onion
  • 1/5 tsp Kasuri methi
  • 1 tsp Butter
  • 0-1/5 nos Cloves
  • 1/5 inch Cinnamon Stick
  • 1/5 nos bay leaf
  • 1/10 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/5 cup tomatoes paste
  • 1/5 cup tomatoes paste
  • 1/5 cup cream
  • As required To taste salt

Directions: Daal Makhni Recipe

  • STEP 1.Soke the urad dal, Chana dal and rajma overnight. rinse them well in cold water. Cook them in a pressure cooker for 4-5 whistle.
  • STEP 2.Cook until cooked almost mushy. Meanwhile, in a pan,add 5tsp butter along with cloves, cinnamon, cumin, turmeric, cumin- coriander powder, bay leaf, ginger garlic paste, green chilli and chopped onion. Saute until aromatic and onions gets soft.
  • STEP 3.Add the tomatoes paste mix well and closed the lid and cook for 7 minutes. Until the raw tomatoes smell leaves.
  • STEP 4.Reduce the heat to simmer, add salt to taste close the lide and slow cook for 20-25 minutes.
  • STEP 5.Add the Kasuri methi along with cardamom power, stir and then add the cream.cook for 5 minutes and serve hot with naan, roti and rice.
