STEP 1.Soak urad daal overnight or for 5-6 hours boil it in a pressure cooker with salt, turmeric powder, hing, chopped onions, ginger and chopped garlic in the cooker.
STEP 2.Cover the lid and place the weight on the cooker and cook for 30 minutes on a low flame.
STEP 3.After 30 minutes are over, remove from heat and wait for the pressure from the cooker to release naturally.
STEP 4.In a small pan add ghee, zeera coriander powder and red chili powder
STEP 5.Add tomatoe puree and mix well
STEP 6.When tomatoes are done well add this tadka to the daal
STEP 7.Now let this daal cook on low flame for 15-20 minutes to gel nicely
STEP 8.add in the coriander leaves and mix well.
STEP 9.Serve hot with any paran
