#mom This was the signature dish of my mom since during that period of time bringing sweets from outside was not that popular and so during almost every event my mom made this which was her specialty. So I recreated the recipe with my children's favorite fruit and they loved it and I am sure you will too!

Ingredients for Custard Apple Basundi Recipe

  • 1/4 Litre Full fat milk
  • 1/4 Cup condensed milk
  • 1 Pieces Large custard apple
  • 1/4 Tablespoon cardamom powder
  • 1/2 Tablespoon saffron strands kept for few mins in some warm milk
  • 1 Tablespoon Almond pistachio slices

Directions: Custard Apple Basundi Recipe

  • STEP 1.Heat the milk in a frying pan and keep stirring. Add two teaspoons of milk from the hot milk to the bowl and add saffron.
  • STEP 2.Once the milk thickens, add condensed milk. Then add cardamom powder and saffron milk.
  • STEP 3.Remove the seeeds from the custard apple and mash until the milk cools. Then add it to the milk. Now add slices of almond pistachios and stir. Basundi of custard apple is ready.
  • STEP 4.Once it comes to room temperature, then refrigerate it. Serve it in a bowl and garnish with custard apple.
