STEP 1. heat ½ litre oil in a deep pan on medium.

STEP 1.when the oil is hot add the tofu slices one at a time and deep fry on both sides till golden.

STEP 1.flip over to ensure that the slices cook evenly. Do not overcrowd the pan.

STEP 1.when the slices are evenly golden, take them out of the pan and drain off any excess oil on a kitchen paper towel.

STEP 1. arrange the slices on a plate and sprinkle with ½ tsp cumin powder and ½ tsp white pepper powder.
