I was very enthusiastic to prepare the christmas cake last year. Since the inception of my food blog in may 2015, i was keen to end the year with a blasting recipe and here i am, presenting my favorite and my best recipe of 2015.

Ingredients for Christmas plum cake-treat from generations! Recipe

  • 0.90 glass For Dry fruit ritual I used mixture of dried fruits – Cranberry, Blueberry, Raisins, Black raisins, Sultanas, Apricots, Figs, Cherries and Dates.Soak them in a mix of McDowells and Old Monk Rum in jar. Keep the same in a dark cupboard at room temperature only. You can soak this mixture as per your choice, even 4 months beforehand
  • 1/10 teaspoon For Spice mix cinnamon powder
  • 1/10 teaspoon nutmeg powder
  • 1/20 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/20 teaspoon clove powder
  • 1/20 teaspoon Cardamon powder
  • 1/20 teaspoon Black Cardamon or Badi elaichi powder
  • 1/10 cup For Caramel sugar
  • 1/10 tablespoon Water
  • 1/10 tablespoon Water
  • 0.07 cup Hot Boiling water
  • 10 gram For the cake butter
  • 0.15 cup Icing sugar
  • 0.30 Egg
  • 0.15 cup All Purpose Flour or maida
  • 1/10 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/10 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/10 cup powdered almonds and Cashews
  • 0.60 tablespoon Orange Marmalade
  • 1/5 tablespoon powdered sugar granules
